The old rule “don’t wear white after Labor Day” is long gone. And even though it’s super normal to continue to wear white through fall and winter, part of me really thinks it can feel super summery. (anyone else?!) So here’s a few of my tips to take white into a fall without feeling summery.
First, pair it with something that is fall colored (like I did here). These white jeans were a summer staple of mine, but they can so easily be worn with endless “fall” tops like blouses, sweaters, jackets, etc. This long sleeve maroon top I have on feels super fall-ish! The sleeves are also lightweight. (Perfect considering its still in the 90s outside.)
Secondly, wear a heavier material (like a sweater) with white jeans. Once the weather eventually decides to cooperate and agree that it’s fall (any day now!), I’ll be sporting these jeans with sweaters and mules or booties!
Lastly, start incorporating your fall accessories such as a darker purse, shoes, and jewelry. I’m all about finding the perfect fall shoes right now. I can’t stay away from the mules, loafers, and booties. And throw it with a dark bag and neutral jewelry. Remember it’s the little things that can make the difference in your outfit!
How are you wearing white past Labor Day??
PS: I just this new hair waver and I sort of feel like a mermaid.. and I absolutely LOVE it
